I need some input from fellow Camaro owners because I'm second guessing a decision I made a few weeks ago, my original pads were finally worn down enough that replacement was overdue, and instead of going with OEM again I decided to try a well reviewed aftermarket brand mostly because of the price difference, and now that they're installed I'm noticing the brake feel is noticeably different, not necessarily worse exactly, just different, there's a bit more initial bite when I first press the pedal compared to the smoother progressive feel I was used to before, and I genuinely don't know if that's just a normal characteristic of switching pad compounds that I'll get used to over time, or if it's actually a sign that these particular pads maybe aren't the ideal match for how I typically drive, which is mostly city driving with occasional highway stretches, nothing track focused or aggressive, does anyone have experience switching between OEM and aftermarket pads on a Camaro specifically and notice a similar change in initial bite or overall feel, and if so did that sensation fade as the pads properly bedded in, or did it end up being a permanent characteristic of that specific compound that just doesn't suit regular daily driving as well as advertised, I'm now trying to figure out where to get Chevrolet Camaro brake pads replaced by a top rated crew in Al Barsha in case I decide switching back to OEM makes more sense for my driving style rather than sticking with these if the sharper bite doesn't settle down over the next week or two, also is it normal for brake dust levels to increase noticeably after switching pad brands, because that's been another thing I've noticed, significantly more dust buildup on my wheels than before which is admittedly a minor annoyance but still made me question whether this compound is actually a good long term fit, I don't want to overreact to something that might just be a normal adjustment period, but I also don't want to keep driving with pads that genuinely aren't suited to how I actually use the car day to day, so if anyone's gone through this same kind of pad switching experience and can share whether things improved over time or if you ended up going back to OEM eventually, I'd really appreciate hearing your honest experience before I decide what to do next.
